Dr. Lian H. Sakhong, Peace Consultant of the Centre for Development and Ethnic Studies (CDES), is the Vice Chairman of the Chin National Front (CNF), and a Secretariat Member of the Union Peace and Dialogue Joint Committee (UPDJC), which is formed jointly by the Government of the Union of Burma/Myanmar, Ethnic Armed Organizations and Political Parties, aims at ending more than 60 years of Ethnic Armed Conflict in Burma by finding a political solution. The UPDJC is currently chaired by the Vice President of the Union of Burma, Dr. Sai Mauk Hkam.

Bosse Temnéus

Administrative Consultant

Mr.Bosse Temnéus, Administrative Consultant of the Centre for Development and Ethnic Studies, was until recently leading the Institute for Studies in Religion and Development at Uppsala University in Sweden. He worked for nine years in Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands as a linguist and project adviser in translation work. For another eight years he worked in the Republic of Philippines, as a teacher, chief administrator at a college for the training of Catholic priests.

Dr.Kjell-Åke Nordquist is Associate Professor in Peace and Conflict Research from Uppsala University, Sweden, and was previously the Head of the Department with the same name at Uppsala University. He is presently working at the Research Program on Human Rights and Peace-Building at Stockholm School of Theology, Sweden.

Dr. Moses C. Tehlo

Research Director

Dr.Moses C. Tehlo recieved the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Political Science from the University of Madras, India in 2015. The PhD dissertation was entitled “Democratic Transition and Ethnic Politics in Myanmar: A Study”. Moses also obtained a Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) in 2002 from Bethany Theological Seminary, Bogon, Insein, Yangon, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History from the Dagon University in 2003, and a Bachelor of Divinity (BD) in 2007 from Gurukul Lutheran Theological College & Research Institute, Chennai, India.
