To be aware and be informed is what we need and to act for the right decisions is our duty because the hardship and suffering of the country as a whole is also our own in this region and the key to be healed and relieved starts with peace, thus we welcome you warmly," said Dr. Khin Soe Soe Kyi, Pyithu Hluttaw Member, in her opening speech during the Peace Forum in support to the Political Dialogue and the Peace process to 180 participants from all over the Bago region gathered at the Pyay, Sri Ksetra Hall today, October 29, 2016 with the Center for Development and Ethnic Studies at the helm.
           Political leaders from the national, regional and local levels grace the peace forum attended by various groups from all ages and sectors. The Peace Forum which is conducted by the Center of Development and Ethnic Studies is one of the primordial objectives in the fulfilment of it a mission to promote national reconciliation and peace and this has been widely disseminated strategically to the seven ethnic states and seven regions of the country in cooperation with local partners. Panellists invited to speak on the current peace process to include democracy, federalism and equality and other important legal documents for political affairs of the country today include Saya Yan Kyaw, U Myo Min Oo, Saya Naung Kyaw, Salai Ngun Lian Sang, Daw May Oo Naing.
